We arrived at the hanger at 4AM and waited until we saw the plane circling over head. It's so awesome how they land here on base, we were able to look out and see the plane coming in, circle in the bay and position itself to land on an extremely short run way, right in front of us. They taxied for a minute or two, drove up the staircase to the plane, and out came our Marines!
Ava was excited for our middle of the night adventure! We have a plane! Can't really see it but it's out there!
Looking for Rob...
And we found him!! Reunited at least! It's kind of fuzzy but you will notice on the right a Marine meeting his baby boy for the first time. That was us last deployment!
Rob had a turtle stuffed animal for Ava that he picked up in Germany on the way back. At 18 months old, Ava's love and affection is absolutely for sale! :)
A true Hawaiian greeting, with a Lei!
Hugs are excellent!

What a night! I thought that very thing as the shot framed up with the new baby in the background. Time flies. So glad once again to have you three as our neighbors!
YAY so glad he is home safe and sound! That makes me cry that dads (and moms) have to be away from their kids. You are a strong woman to put up with that!
It sooooooooooo great that he is home. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!
