While we were in Naples we checked out the Naples Zoo. There were 2 cool days mid week, and the place was packed with all the local kids that were on Spring break, as well as out of town spring breakers on vacation. Even though it was crowded we really liked it, a lot better than the National Zoo. It had tons of animals and you could walk really close to them and get a good look.
The Naples zoo also has 3 honey badgers! I think everyone knows Jake's nickname is the honey badger (from a very inappropriate and perhaps offensive YouTube video). Jake just walks around and does what he wants and does not care, much like these animals do. They were cool to see in action!
Jake wasn't acting like a honey badger at first....
But once the honey badgers came out he was pulling onto the fence and very excited to see them!
The honey badger
The only way to see the tigers at the National Zoo is through a zoom on a camera, these ones were really close!
There were people feeding the giraffes lettuce, the line was so long so we skipped out on it this time.
Proof that Ava was here, we didn't end up with many pictures of us this time, just animals!
That's a big gator!
We definitely plan to go to back to this Zoo next time we are in Naples. We didn't plan very well and got there during Jake's nap time, once he got tired we had to head out. We missed out on riding a camel, feeding the giraffes, and a boat tour around the islands where the monkeys live!

I think honey badger is a Momma's boy. He is always snuggled up to you and it's SO cute :)
