Snow Days

 Last Sunday we had a bit of an ice storm and ended up losing power for 15 hours!  Ava's school was cancelled and we spent the morning in the house trying to keep warm, and then around noon they informed us that the power wouldn't be on until the afternoon the next day.  Ava and Jake didn't seem to mind the cold house too much but after Reagan's lips turned blue we decided we needed some place to go.  So we packed up and went to a hotel with a heated pool!

 Reagan was much happier sitting poolside too.  Of course once we had been at the hotel for about 2 hours the power turned back on, but we still had a fun little getaway and spent the night at the hotel up in Woodbridge.

We went back Tuesday morning and had yet another snow day, it snowed/sleeted for most of the morning and early afternoon.

I was so excited Jake actually took a good nap on the futon, but of course he woke up completely out of it and has had a fever ever since.  Hopefully he shakes it off soon.

 And after 2 snow days this is all we had to show for it....go Virginia.  Nothing would have been cancelled if this had happened in NH.  Another year of Ava asking "why isn't this like YiaYia's snow?"  Hopefully she will have some better snow to play in this Christmas!
