Happy Birthday Ava!

Today was Ava's 1st birthday, to celebrate we went on an adventure up to the North Shore! The day didn't exactly go as planned, the birthday girl wasn't in the best mood, but we still managed to have fun.

We began by going to Waimea Falls, it's a beautiful waterfall that you have to walk through Botanical Gardens to get too.

After that we headed to Turtle Beach, a beach where sea turtles like to chill out in the sand. It started to pour and we thought it was going to be a bust.....

But then Sarah spotted a HUGE sea turtle on the beach!

Then we went home and Ava changed into her new bathing suit/hula outfit that her YiaYia got her, and she splashed around a bit until it was time for cake!

No surprise here....Ava LOVES cake!

Since Rob comes home in 2 days we held off on opening presents, we will do that and have another family and friends party for her when he gets home Thursday! So more birthday pics to come!
