National Air and Space Museum

This weekend we went to the National Air and Space Museum.  It's no secret that I'm not a fan of Winter, nor am I a fan of the Washington D.C. Metro area, so we decided these next few weeks/months of Winter while downtown is only a few miles away, we will check out more museums before we move.  The Winter months here are considered the off season for this area and it makes it a lot easier to allow both kids to walk through and check everything out without crowds of people.

Both kids were very impressed with all the planes suspended in the air.  Here's Ava in front of a plane that was flown by Amelia Earhart.

Only we would find an old school Mickey Mouse flight cartoon playing in the Smithsonian.....
There was a section of Marine Corps Aviation Art that is just a small piece of what is mostly owned by the Marine Corps Museum down in Quantico.....get excited family and friends, the Marine Corps Museum in Quantico is the go-to place for guests down there.  At least it has a pub inside!
Why is Jake so excited?  The kids section had this air flow thing where you put a beach ball over it and it holds it up in the air.  We could have left Jake there all day.
