Veterans Day Weekend

This past weekend Lilly came down to visit! Kimmie was going to a music festival in Orlando so Ava and I hopped in the car along with our friend (Kim's best friend) Courtney who also lives in Tampa and we went to Orlando to claim Lilly.  After we picked them up at the airport we went over to Downtown Disney! I LOVE anything and everything Disney so it was really fun to get a small dose of it for a very late dinner Thursday night.

The girls were so excited to see each other at the airport!

Inside of Planet Hollywood, Jake would have loved the giant Woody up there.  I felt bad that we didn't take him but we didn't eat until around 10 and he can't hang that late.

The girls each ordered a HUGE dessert instead of dinner (they had both had happy meals earlier)
Lucky girls staying out late on a school night!
Then we headed back to Palm Harbor.  It was the last weekend that we will be in the pool for a few months.  The water temperature was 71 last weekend and Ava and Jake thought it was so cold.  But Lilly, the true northerner, hopped right in!
Ava wanted to swim so bad but just kind of hung out on the side complaining about the chill...

 Eating lunch outside
Rob had a great weekend too.  We have a pond in our backyard that connects to Lake Tarpon which is a a couple minutes walk away (the big trees in the background are probably on the lake).  He finally took a break from all his projects to go fishing and caught a huge Bass.  Pulling that out of his own backyard made Rob a very happy man! It is now in our freezer and will end up on the grill eventually.

Then I took the kids to see Big Hero 6.  It was a really cute movie.  Jake loved it and Rob is taking him to see it again on Sunday.
Then Monday we had a little Veteran's Day parade at Jake's school.

They sang Yankee Doodle and another song too, they were so cute!

Then we did some more fishing Monday afternoon.  It was Lilly's 1st time fishing and she caught 4 fish!

It was a great weekend!

Awww looks like a great weekend! :) Couple things...for someone who dislikes fish you have one chilling in your freezer?? Is it staring at you everytime you go to get the frozen waffles lol And what?? You close the pool? I thought it is warm all year round down there? :)

hahaa I don't dislike eating fish, just swimming with them :) Rob cut it into fillets so there are no eyes watching me!! Don't close the pool we just didn't put a heater in it yet so it gets too cool to swim, it's still pretty to look at though :)
