Christmas Season 2015

It's that time of year again, the Christmas season is upon us and we have been super busy as always.  Rob left for Jordan the day after Thanksgiving so we didn't do our normal tradition of making a day of doing decorations as a family.  He put up the tree while I was at work and then that night the kids kind of just threw the ornaments on and I rearranged a few days later, along with taking the rest of our Christmas decor out.  He comes home tomorrow and it will be so awesome to have him home for this time of year.

Last week Jake and Reagan had their Nativity play at their preschool.  Jake played the part of Joseph and Reagan was a "little mouse".  The teachers do such an amazing job with the kids, the play was adorable.  Reagan walked in with her mouse costume on but by the time she made it to the staged she had taken it off.  I had to literally duck in my pew when they walked by because once she sees me it's over, when she eventually did she started yelling "Mama Mama Mama" wicked loud over the narrator, so they had to pause for a moment and bring her to my seat.  I dismissed Ava from school so she could see them, she loved finally meeting their teachers and seeing the classrooms.

Here's Reagan walking in behind her teacher, Miss Jessica.
Jake as Joseph right after they sang Happy Birthday to Jesus at the end.
 Ava modeling Reagan's mouse costume.
Of course once Ava wore it Reagan wanted it back to be a mouse again....
We also went to International Plaza to meet Santa.  It was literally a 2 hour wait, so insane.  It was a great set up though with pretty trees and fake snow.  Last year they had Santa at the YMCA that we go to and Ava was not happy that he didn't spend time talking to her about what she wanted for Christmas.  Which is the reason she wants to meet him, she could care less about the picture! This Santa was awesome though and spent a few minutes with them talking about their lists, while I calmed Reagan down from the trauma of having to sit on his lap.

What is this stuff?
While not Christmas related I'm throwing these in there because the kids loved it.  Jake's karate teachers hosted a bring a friend event where they let the kids each break a board.  It was a lot of fun and they both broke their boards on the first try.

We also continued our Gingerbread house tradition! It was Reagan's first one and she did so well with it!

That's all for now, more Christmas posts to come in the next 2 weeks!!
