Time Warp

How is it July 10th already?  Besides never knowing what day of the week it is, knowing what month it is, or putting into context when a certain event occurred during Covid season, I have felt like I'm living in a time warp.  I remember grabbing my phone on July 1st, seeing the date, and thinking wow, if someone would have told me it was still May, I would have believed them.

We have been enjoying the warmer weather, spending a lot of time with our neighbors and taking trips to the beach.  One good thing that has come of this is that my cousin Yohanna who normally would have gone to Columbia for the summer is still here with Mateo and Isabella.  We have loved having them back at Hampton with us like we used to!

This is a bit of a photo dump from the last 2 months.  Overall we are a lot more relaxed now that the kids are done home school (they finished June 15th). Most days Jake and Reagan sleep in until around 9, Ava gets woken up around 11.  The boys in the neighborhood are usually here to pick up Jake by 10 and he's off for the day.  They make their way in a pack around the neighborhood and don't even come home for lunch.  Around 4 Jake will show up saying he's starving.  Reagan's friends come out a little later, but we have a good group of 5-7 year olds right near our house for her to play with.

Throughout all of this we have become very close with our neighbors, and are all just so thankful we live where we do.  There's so many kids and a great sense of community and that we are in this together here on Long Hill.

Snuggling with Reagan....which eventually led to a nice nap for her.  I'm going to miss when she grows out of this stage, I think it's coming quick.

We have been spending time in the Costa's pool and playing with Colton.

Birthday parties have loosened up a bit, back in March/April it was all driving by or just dropping presents off on door steps. We had the neighbors over for Lilli's 11th birthday though!
Reagan and Arna (another 6 year old that lives next door) play most days!

Silly girls, Louie's pool has become their pool as well.
We did a beach day with the Gurekis' and had lots of fun!

Father's Day we had a block party on Brackenwood.  All the Dad's went golfing in the morning and then we cooked out in the afternoon.  So many boys, they aren't even all in this picture!
The neighborhood Dad's took some of the boys fishing!
We went blueberry and raspberry picking with Kristen, JoAnn and Colton!

La Caretta opened up, I was soooo happy to be back there.
We finally got patio furniture for the new deck Rob built 2 summers ago, we love it and are out there all the time!
