Well here we go....our Disney World Vacation! I haven't updated on this because there are just so many pictures that I had no idea where to begin in organizing them, and still don't really. So here they are in chronological order and I will just group them into a couple posts so blogger doesn't shut me down for too many pictures!
Anyways, we had a fantastic time in Disney!! I have such great memories of going on vacation there as a kid so it was very exciting to bring my own kiddos. We did 9 days in the park, which in hindsight was probably too many (I think 7 would have been good) but we got to see and do everything we want and do lots of things over and over again (like Small World, Rob's favorite ride). The kids did great in the parks, Jake had his usual moments as most 2 year olds do, but Ava was a trooper and didn't ask to sit in a stroller once this whole vacation. I really thought we would have to rent her one at some point. They got on a great schedule of sleeping in so we never really made it into the park until around noon, and then they would make it well into the evening when the park cleared out a little bit.
Here we are on our first time on Small World.
YiaYia, Papi, Jake, Ava and I on the carousel!
Ava really loved Big Thunder Mountain Raildroad. Splash Mountain was her favorite ride though.
On day 2 we went to Typhoon Lagoon.
Jake and I got into a pretty intense water fun fight with some 10 year old boys. Those water guns were no joke!
Ava loved the kids raft ride.
Cheese (in line at Epcot to go on Spaceship Earth).
In Epcot we waited quite awhile to meet Minnie, Mickey and Pluto.
Ava loved having her autograph/photograph book signed. We printed out all the pictures of her with the characters and it's a really cute photo album for her.
After getting soaked in the Magic Kingdom we wised up and got some ponchos.
A couple days into our Disney trip Kimmie and Lilly arrived!
Lilly's first ride on Small World
Standing in line for Aladdin's Magic Carpet ride
Unfortunately Kimmie's fanny pack is not in this shot.
There's the fanny pack!
Ava looked thrilled to be going on this ride with me. She was not too happy that it was Jake's turn to control the carpet going up and down in the seat in front of us.
We got Jake a Buzz Lightyear stuffed animal in Epcot and he carried it around with him the rest of the trip. Woody had some fun with it when we met him (it's on his hat in this picture). It was really fun to see him meet Woody and Buzz, he LOVES Toy Story.
Finally we caved and got balloons. Jake was passed out in the stroller and he must have sensed something was up because suddenly he woke up and pointed at the bunch of the balloons and made sure he got one too just in time.
The girls with their Minnie ears and balloons. Of course right after we bought them the wind picked up and we got whacked with balloons the rest of the evening.
More to come.....
