Orchards and Vineyards

We spent the last couple days of Rob's leave apple picking and wine tasting!

We drove about 45 miles west of DC to a beautiful orchard in the Shenandoah Valley. A lot of the leaves had changed so it was a nice change of scenery for the afternoon. You may be wondering why there are no cute pics of Ava picking apples of the trees....that's because she hated it there!! There were lots of apples on the ground and she kept tripping over them, so Rob had to carry her around from tree to tree for the majority of the time we were there.

Rob carrying Ava and the long pole to get apples that are high on the trees.

Me and Jake! He LOVES his sling.

See him all cozy and sleeping in there?

Then we went to a winery up by Baltimore with Joe and Aleesa. It was a really cool place, you can do wine tasting, then picnic and drink wine on vineyard.

Ava and her buddy Gabe. The kids had a great time running around terrorizing the other people's picnics.

Fantastic adventures. Just think, next fall we will join you! E loves the one of tummy time mainly because Ducky's butt is in it. :)

Yes you will! There are small perks about the mainland life, they are no match for a day at Lanikai or Hale Koa with a Mai Tai though....
Glad E likes the pic of Ducky's butt haha, you know him he's always moping around somewhere, there's a little of Ava in that one too!
