Yesterday we went to an ice show at the Gaylord National Convention Center. It is a massive hotel/convention center, I believe the biggest hotel on the East coast. Well they have a ice show going on that's themed to the movie Madagascar and it was awesome to see it yesterday. These pictures don't even sort of capture the vastness of this ice display, it was so big. It was in a very large compartmented tent, in the ice section the temperature was kept at 9 degrees....Bbbrrr. They gave us the blue coats we are wearing to wear over our Winter coats. No one seemed to want to take them but once you were in there most people were wearing the giant blue jackets.
Literally everything you see is made of ice (except the vine like things you see strung along in some spots and from the ceiling)
Here are the kids with some of the Madagascar characters. They've never seen the movie, I can only imagine how crazy they would go if it was Disney themed and Mickey or the Princesses were there.
Once we let Jake out of the stroller he was on the run and loved every minute of it!
We had to pick up the pace towards the end of going through, Ava informed me her face hurt and she looked like she was about to cry, I think it was the first time she felt her face/mouth go numb and she was having a hard time talking and didn't like that too much.
Here is Jake and his lovely hat head when we got home.

This is SO cool :)
So so so glad you test ran that event for us, its high on our December list. We are HUGE Madagascar and Penguin fans! Last year was Dr Seuss and it was beautiful.
We stayed near the one in Nashville, TN on our way home. Just walking around it really stretched our legs! Glad you had a good time. Did the kids see Santa?
