Today we went out to cut down our Christmas tree. We are about a month too early, but since Rob is deploying we will be celebrating a new holiday, "Thanksmas" in a couple weeks so he doesn't have to miss out, and we don't have to miss out celebrating with him. We found a cut your own tree farm in Maryland and they said we could come early and cut our tree down today!

They had a beautiful holly tree there, I want one!
And here is it all decorated in the living room, we got some funny looks driving home with it on our roof. The family at the Christmas tree farm was so nice and fun, they wouldn't let us pay for the tree and wanted to give it to us in appreciation of Rob's service. They are also good friends with the Sheriff who is a retired Navy guy and he had asked if he could buy it for us too. So nice to meet good generous people who really care! This experience also confirmed that when I grow up I want to be a Christmas tree farmer! (That translates to we own a Christmas tree farm and Rob does most of the work) Do you think Ducky could do sleigh rides? That would be so fun! :)
