Summer Vacation Part I - Michigan

We started out our 3 week summer vacation with a trip up to Michigan to visit Rob's Grandmas.  We hadn't made it up to Michigan since before we left for Hawaii so it was great to get back up there to visit with them and for them to see the kiddos.

Ava and Jake had fun playing with the toy bag at Grandma Hamernik's house, she had saved some from back when Rob and her other grandkids were little!

 It was also my first time to the Great Lakes, I didn't realize how close Lake Michigan was to Grand Rapids.  The lake was beautiful though and we got some great afternoon sun there.  I had wanted to stay to see an over the lake sunset but it's so far west in this time zone, the sun didn't set over the water until around 9:30, so the kids would not have made it.
