Six Flags

Today was "Defenders of Freedom" Day at Six Flags America.  The whole park was shutdown and tickets were only available on bases throughout the DC Metro.   We had so much fun and the kids did awesome on the rides, Ava went on every ride that she was tall enough too, and Jake did pretty good too.  Today's success at the park is getting me so excited for our Disney trip this Spring!

(Just a side note as well, if you click on the pictures they get bigger and you can scroll through them in a larger size that way, Rob didn't know this until recently and has been just sticking his face really close to the computer screen to see them better) :)

Of course in a whole park full of rides the carousel was a favorite of Ava's

 Even Jake did the kids roller coaster, he loved it!  Technically he's still 1 until next week, but since he's so tall for his age he was able to do a lot of rides that were kind of too old for him, but if Ava was going he wanted in too!

Train ride

 Ava didn't even know what this ride did but still hopped right on it.  It was in the kiddy section but shot up in the air and went up then dropped down fast.

 She loved these swings, Jake was too short by a couple inches and he was so mad she was swinging and he was not.

 There was a huge indoor play area with thousands of little balls flying everywhere, it was most likely Jake's favorite part.  Here he is "flapping his wings" like he does when he gets excited, as a bunch of balls are dumped on him.

 Ava tired out on the way out of the park and needed a ride.
