This past weekend we had our 3rd annual Hamernik-Anderson Christmas party. Joe, Aleesa and the kids came down and we made gingerbread houses, watched Christmas movies (and football) and the kids exchanged gifts.
After 3 years of the kids doing gingerbread houses, always the same Wilton houses from Michael's, we still did not manage to have them set up already for the kids to decorate, so the kids were pretty impatient while the houses were being built and then needed to harden a bit. They did so much better than last year with their decorating though!
Joe being Joe!
With their finished houses, Jake ate more candy than he actually put on the house.
This year they came with Fondant icing stuff which is where the shapes came from.
Rob also got all the lights up on the outside of the house! He figured out how to get onto the roof by climbing out Jake's window on the back of the house and doing a bit of roof hopping. I think he is crazy, but it looks great!
