National Harbor Christmas

 We started off this Saturday by going to meet Santa! Ava was getting really concerned that if we didn't see Santa soon he wouldn't have enough time to get her toys ready. She told him she wanted Barbies, and a pretty dress.  Jake didn't want anything to do with Santa, this picture was pre-scream.  Santa and Jake came to an understanding after Santa gave him a candy cane, but there were still no smiles out of Jake.

Saturday afternoon we went down to National Harbor to check out their big Christmas tree.  I had wanted to go see the National Christmas Tree but this was closer and a lot easier to get to.  It also gave us some good opportunity to play with my new camera!

There were lights on all the trees around the harbor.

 The big tree! The lights on it in this picture are from a big spotlight, we didn't stick around long enough to see the lights on the tree to bet turned on.

 There was a fun looking Hanukkah party on this boat!

 This is a sort of full picture of "The Awakening" which is the statue of a man who appears to be coming out of the ground.  Maybe seeing the whole thing will make the pictures below of Ava playing on it look less creepy?
